When Jason and I were on our honeymoon in the Caymen Islands almost 6 years ago (how?!) there was a man snorkeling near where we were laying on the beach. All of a sudden, he came up to the surface in a panic. Me, having the healthy fear of the water and marine life that I strongly adhere to, thought maybe he saw a shark or a giant sting ray. As it turns out, he had not come across something threatening, but instead lost something of mass importance: his wedding ring.
I, on the other hand, had been happily showing off my new bling all week, from the pool to the beach, I sported my wedding ring wherever we went. But after that moment, I vowed to never wear it in the water again! My wedding band isn’t super expensive, but it was passed down to me from my grandmother, who was married to my grandfather for 72 years! The band is her original ring from their wedding in 1945.
After observing this incident, I've purchased some sort of alternative wedding band each summer. I've needed something that could get chlorine, salt water, or sweat all over it and would also not be valuable enough that if it was lost I'd be devastated. It's taken several summers, and lots of inexpensive rings, but I've finally found one that is so comfortable, extremely flexible, and I actually find myself putting it on even when I'm not headed to the pool or gym.
Groove creates silicone wedding rings that are made from a patent-pending breathable material, and let me tell you, it makes all the difference! I've basically been wearing mine all summer unless I'm getting dressed up for something. Jason even got one from himself, even though his regular wedding band is extremely durable and we don't face the same issues of sentimental value that we do with mine.
The men's silicone rings are masculine, come in really cool colors, and are super comfortable. They're great for men who are in the gym regularly and hate the idea of taking their ring on and off before and after a workout. I've been going to a strength training gym since January and along with all of the wallets. keys, and cell phones lining the cubbies we place our stuff in are several, several men's wedding rings. Groove rings would make a great gift for the man in your life for a birthday, Father's Day, or anniversary!
The women's silicone rings are much daintier than the men's, which has been a reason that I've resisted purchasing a silicone rings that other companies have created until now. I have the pearl ring and I love how feminine it looks. Did I mention how comfortable it is?! I originally thought I would just wear it to the gym and pool, but I truly find myself putting it on more often than not. We've been out of town several times this summer and I have opted to only wear my Groove ring and not even take my actual wedding ring and engagement ring. I've been able to leave them at home and not worry about losing them while we're out of town. I've also seen a lot of women leave their rings at the gym, which typically hold a much higher financial value than men's rings, and I would definitely encourage any women who frequent the gym to try out a Groove ring!
Why Groove Stands Out
Obviously I've made it clear that Groove rings are super comfortable and breathable. I also love how well they fit. On their website they have an entire page devoted to the fit of your Groove ring so you know what size to purchase.
Groove also has what they call a "No BS Warranty" that covers just about anything that could happen to your ring. Their website states:
I'm not sure about you, but any company that is willing to replace even a LOST product is a company to pay attention to.
Groove is also always coming out with new designs. They have a line of camo silicone rings, game day rings, and more! The founders of Groove seem to always be coming up with new products, and I love any company that's forward thinking and proactive with their products.
